We had an amazing visit to Sapa. A hill town in North Vietnam.

On the road to Ha Long Bay

We had an awesome visit to Ha Long Bay....a world heritage site. It was a whirl wind tour, followed by a night train from Hanoi to Sapa. The night train experience is one best told in person. Let's just say it was an adventure.

Over the river and through the woods

On Boxing Day, we went on a "hot" tour of the Ben Tre area by boat. It was breath taking.

Tropical Christmas

We had an amazing Christmas Day that included Christmas carols and smoothies.

I get so emotional baby

Today we visited the Care Center where Jonah spent the first 19 months of his life. What an emotional experience.

A few months ago we requested permission for the local government for our group to make a visit. We arrived and had a brief meeting with the orphanage Director. Then one of the nannies that was here 5 years ago showed up. She was so excited to see the kids. We all made some books of photos that we brought along to give a window into the kid's lives in the US. She loved looking through the books and seeing how the kids have grown and changed. She was also able to contact 2 other care givers that no longer work there to come and see the kids.

Fairy Stream

We did not see any fairies, but the hike up the "Fairy Stream" in the Mui Ne sand dunes was still visually stunning.
